Philosophy & Goals

This non-profit licensed child placing agency was founded for the purpose of preventing institutionalization of children by providing the least restrictive, most family-like setting available to children who are wards of the court. This is accomplished by recruiting, training, licensing, and managing therapeutic specialized foster homes in Indiana. Debra Corn Agency, Inc.’s experienced staff utilizes a team approach and provides intensive services to maintain placements in secure home environments for Indiana’s special needs children.

Debra Corn Agency, Inc. has provided specialized care to over 2,000 “Special Needs Children.” We have worked with over 80 Division of Family and Children Services and Probation Departments in the state of Indiana.

Debra Corn Agency, Inc. provides ethnically diversified homes for children as needed; emergency, short term or long term foster care; reunification/preservation services as appropriate; individualized Transitional Living Skills program and parenting skills for teens with children and pregnant teens, adoption home studies and pre and post adoptive services.

Our success, is due largely to extensive and specialized counseling provided by our MSW’s, PhD’s, and psychiatrists whose area of focus and expertise is working with high risk children and families in substitute care. Debra Corn Agency, Inc. has success in dealing with children who are experiencing emotional and severe behavioral difficulties, providing diagnostic and evaluation services, caring for medically fragile children and providing very individualized programming to meet the child’s needs. Low caseloads (10 placements per Case Manager) with weekly home visits by Case Managers also allows for intensive services and quality of care.
